Four-way partnership turns vacant building into Safelight homes
A church, Safelight, the Community Foundation of Henderson County and Housing Assistance Corp. joined to rehab a vacant 1999 purchase into eight affordable apartments next to a community garden. Tenants pay rent via income or Section 8 vouchers, providing stable homes for Safelight clients and offering a model for similar collaborations.
