Flat Rock mull s plan reset for Braewood 88 acre site

The Braewood project must restart its site plan process after a zoning permit lapsed in January. Morgan Family Investments bought the land in a 2013 foreclosure for 1.078 million, with Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy involvement eyed for wetlands and buffer preservation. The site sits across from Bondarken near Mill House Lodge and Flat Rock Middle School. The village also considered selling its 66 acre town park after a broker queried a 60 acre parcel, but council would decline.
