Falls Festival wins 2023 innovation award at Leading Age North Carolina

Carolina Village earns the 2023 Excellence in Innovation award for a large scale Falls Festival held last November. Wellness Coordinator Aleen Dailey Director of Therapy Sara Fink and Resident Nurse Savannah Tadlock led an interdisciplinary effort with 20 workshops and 30 percent resident participation. The program boosted bone health, balance training, and residents report stronger confidence in daily activities. Carolina Village plans a bigger event and will share methods at the 2023 International Council on Active Aging Conference.
