County balks at preservation terms for Stillwell building plan
Henderson County Commission rejected additional conditions on a 52 million project to build a new Henderson High School on the Boyd site. School board chair Amy Lynn Holt said the board wants to keep Stillwell intact for school use. County officials stressed Stillwell preservation and loan requirements, while city council weighs traffic and safety upgrades. The first 1 million dollar county payment is due July 1 as work proceeds toward a 2018 completion.
