The first Made in Henderson County Job Fair on May 4 linked high school seniors with 79 immediate job openings from 23 Henderson County manufacturers. About 110 seniors completed applications to showcase skills, while employers highlighted roles in a growing school system and HCPED partnership that promotes manufacturing careers since 2012.
Henderson County Chamber of Commerce recognized 2017 Blue Ridge Business Growth and Rising Star recipients including AAA Travel & Insurance, Allegra WNC, Allison Development Group, Always Best Care, The Blood Connection, The Garage Authority, Hans Heidelberg Restaurant, Horizon Heating and Air Conditioning, Hulsey Media, Mountain Deli, and others. Awards highlighted revenue growth, job creation, and business expansion across Hendersonville and Western North Carolina.
