Hendersonville votes to kill 160 million Balfour Parkway plan
Henderson County commissioners blocked the proposed 160 million Balfour Parkway after a grassroots Stop the Balfour campaign pressed residents along Howard Gap Road and NC 191. Critics challenged DOT traffic assumptions and argued the road wouldn’t ease Four Seasons Boulevard congestion. The board urged awaiting final state actions, while DOT officials warned the county gains no reallocation of funds.
