Hendersonville poised to appoint Melinda Lowrance to vacant council seat
City Manager John Conner says council informally supports appointing Melinda Lowrance, active on city and county boards, to fill the vacancy from Debbie Roundtree. The election timing remains unclear, potentially November or November 2026, with a December 2026 term end. Lowrance chairs the Zoning Board of Adjustment, serves on Diversity and Inclusion, and leads the county Social Services board and local NAACP chapter.
