County approves funding to save Flat Rock Playhouse season
Henderson County commissioners narrowly approved a 50000 dollar appropriation for mold removal at the Flat Rock Playhouse. The measure, backed by Chairman Tommy Thompson, would help operations and preserve about 28 fulltime jobs as the theater faces financial strain and possible shutdown without cleanup. Members cited economic development value and intergovernmental support from the city and village councils, while some opposed funding nonprofit maintenance.
