Affordable housing plan eyed for county county lands
The plan outlines 95 units of affordable housing to be built near North Main Street with 17 lots served by a 24 foot road and sidewalks. Five more units will go to working families who qualify for loans but cannot meet labor requirements. An 80 percent or less of area median income limit applies. The Cedar Terrace project plus a separate mobile home park upgrade could expand affordable options, with upgrades planned by Cheria and Tony Duncan. They propose replacing the Green Acres park with new homes under Claystone a Retirement Community.
