Henderson County proclaims faith with God We Trust sign
Henderson County commissioners unanimously approved placing the motto In God We Trust on the Historic Courthouse façade after a lengthy push by Rick Lanier and public debate. The sign joins messages already on nearby courthouses and the old courtroom, with city zoning backing the permit despite initial objections. Phillip Allen of Americans United for Separation of Church and State raised concerns over church state separation during the process.
