Barr honored for design of Wildcat Rock Trail
Conserving Carolina designer Peter Barr received the Coalition of Recreational Trails annual design and construction award for the Wildcat Rock Trail. The 3 mile route in Hickory Nut Gorge opened in 2017 and showcases sustainable erosion control, 300 plus stone stairs, a 100 foot waterfall, and access from the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge Trailhead near Gorton.
