Historic Flat Rock moves to display items as Book Exchange faces rent pull
The Historic Flat Rock committee plans to use the ground floor of a 172 year old building to display clothing furniture journals photos and historic artifacts while the Book Exchange may lose its space. Community leaders note the nonprofit store funds local charities and relies on volunteer staff. The Book Exchange manager Ginny Bell expresses shock at the handling of the decision and fears for the shop’s future.
