Celebrate Flat Rock Ice Cream Social and More Festivities
Flat Rock hosts a June 7 celebration from noon to 4 pm featuring an ice cream social with several flavors, live music from Letters to Abigail the Studebakers and West Henderson High School Small Ensemble, and a noon to 4 pm blood drive. Carl Sandburg National Historic Site offers four free walking tours at 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. The day also includes a Summer Music Series on Wrinkled Egg’s deck at 6 pm headlined by Terry Wetton, a Teddy Bear Picnic dance at Lily Pond Road with Hospice donations, Pat’s School of Dance recitals on June 7 14 and 16, a Disney World workshop invitation, and Blue Ridge Humane Society’s upcycling demo with Kate Stockman from 10 am to noon.
