Henderson County approves budget with added spending and reserves
The Henderson County Board of Commissioners finalizes a 117 million dollar budget that fully funds the School Board and boosts Flat Rock Playhouse funding, starts two rural park projects, and plans a health education building. They maintain reserves above policy and add 2.5 million in mostly ongoing costs, avoiding tax hikes due to strong reserves. Incumbents Edney and Thompson held seats. Young defeated in May 6 primary.
