Conservancy wins settlement over Hendersonville horse farm easement
The Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy and developer Hugh Cassar settled a two year dispute over a 60 acre Hidden Valley Farm. The farm keeps the riding ring area if grass covers it, removes two roadbeds, and pays 37500 in legal fees. The deal preserves the conservancy authority to enforce conservation easements and protect 27000 acres in Henderson and Transylvania counties.
