WHKP ends audio stream agreement for Channel 11
Henderson County commissioners accepted WHKP’s withdrawal from a 16 year audio streaming deal for cable channel 11 on Morris Broadband. The move follows activist Eva Ritchey’s critique of a perceived sweetheart contract, while WHKP noted county capability to broadcast its own content and Morris Broadband’s Emergency Broadcast System access.
