Judiciary extends search for District Court vacancy in 29B
UNC Asheville and UNC Chapel Hill law graduate Brooks is a Reserve Judge Advocate General. The General Assembly confirmed her by joint resolution. The district bar must nominate five candidates for Gov. Cooper from District 29B. July 13 deadline set for candidates to submit names, with floor nominations possible. Bar will vote and forward top five with totals to the governor.
