Family roots and a joyful DC reunion with long‑lost cousins
A writer recalls a heartfelt wedding gathering hosted by a Harvard lawyer cousin in Washington DC. Surviving relatives span generations from Norwegian grandparents to 25 first cousins, with 20 still living, and a wide spread of kin across the United States. The evening blends memories, humor, and gratitude for enduring family bonds. The author cherishes inherited roots and believes ancestors were present in spirit.
