Mills River approves 1.5 million budget with raises and staffing
Mills River Town Council approved a 1.5 million budget in a split vote. The plan adds two fulltime and one part time position, raises town staff salaries 11 to 25 percent, and creates a $3,000 annual council member salary. It avoids tax increases and trims funds to two economic groups.
