County Mills River incentives target $217 million auto plant
Henderson County commissioners and Mills River council approved up to 7.26 million in tax incentives to attract a 217 million factory that would create 350 jobs. GF Linamar and Georg Fischer seek a 52 acre Mills River site, with a second option near Columbia. The county plans to advance 4.6 million to buy the property, hoping breakeven in under a decade.
