PSNC to Replace Gas Line From Mill Spring to Lake Julian
A $75 million project will replace an 8 inch line with a 16 inch pipe from Mill Spring to Duke Energy’s Lake Julian plant, crossing under the Green River with Army Corps approval. Third party radiographic weld inspections and full pressure testing ensure safety under federal standards. Permits come from NCDOT and several federal agencies. Completion targeted by end of 2018 with Henderson County phase by June. Duke Energy plant expected operational November 2019.
