Downtown hotel proposals spark optimism for Hendersonville
City issued an Oct 11 RFP for an 80 to 120 room hotel with 150 to 300 person conference space and considered selling the Dogwood parking lot to fund a parking garage. Two developers Catellus Group and Blue Star Hospitality proposed plans with garages and retail or lounge space. Local officials praise the prospects while weighing design compatibility with historic downtown and a 65 foot height cap.
