Helene hits North Carolina with 53.6 billion cost estimate
The Oct 23 OSBM assessment cites 53.6 billion total hurricane costs, with 30.0 billion unfunded. It lists 12.2 billion in residential damages, 13.1 billion in business losses, and 6.0 billion on highways and bridges while noting ongoing FEMA and insurance claims and a looming final assessment.
