Longtime columnist Stephen Black dies at 68
Stephen M. Black a hard living ex Marine and Times News columnist died Friday morning at 68 after months of health issues. Survived by wife Joyce two children a brother and a sister. Born January 8 1945 in Fort Lauderdale he spent childhood between Hendersonville and South Florida. Graveside service with military rites planned for Forest Lawn cemetery Wednesday at 11 a.m. Black’s widow recalled his outspoken nature and love of family.
