Alumni push plan to reuse HHS building saving millions
Carey O'Cain, HHS alumnus, will present an alternative plan to the Board of Commissioners after meeting NCACCs. His option would retain the 1926 classroom core while replacing most additions, potentially saving about 30 million dollars versus the Clark Nexson proposal that would total around 76 million. County leaders pledged to hear the alumni and study O'Cain's estimates before final decisions.
