Scholarships aid single moms pursue BRCC degrees
A $1000 Children and Family Resource Center Scholarship for Single Parents supported Victoria Hayes and Evelyn Gutierrez as they pursued higher education. Hayes, a BRCC student aiming for office administration, values mentors and plans online for a bachelor's degree after May graduation. Gutierrez, 18, trains as a medical assistant and aims for nursing school after April, grateful for the chance to work in a doctor's office and balance motherhood with schooling.
