The Montana State Press association will meet in Butte on August 4 and 5. J Tao Markhata and C F Kelley announced the program with Kelley to deliver the chief address at the annual banquet. Butte Chamber of Commerce will host editors and President Hoover may attend the banquet.
In Missoula Darwin June 2 The Scandinavian Fraternity Navehweat Diairlet No 1F opened a two day event with about 250 in attendance. Supreme president Jon TAndquint of Fiulte spoke on the organization’s work at the banquet. Initiates were announced and a guest invitation was noted for Governor Erickson to attend tomorrow.

In Beaufort North Carolina Dan Jenkins a negro was shot dead by a man after two young white women identified him as their attacker. A mob of about 1000 gathered since morning and Jenkins was killed as details of the case spread. His body was found severely shot and taken to Maple Ridge church for an inquest later this afternoon.
