Rearing of a Mighty Dam Under Way at Twenty Mile Creek

Gazette reports on a large river dam project at Twenty Mile Mouth, McLean, with 40 workers. Structure extends 400 feet across the river, roots and crown like a molar, reinforced concrete foundation 12 feet deep, five feet solid, two giant prongs. The Port Moody and Yale and Donald sheets of a four map series covering the Dominion Railway Belt in British Columbia are now available from the Railway Lands Branch at Ottawa. The Kamloops, Lytton and Sicamous sheets issued recently show land disposition and boundaries, with Dominion Forest Reserves, Timber Berths, Indian Reserves and Grazing Leases.
