Star Still in Ascendant in Ishiwadi By-Election Result

In the Ishiwadi by election the government of Sir Richard McBride did not bow to liberal pressure. W W Poster secured a 202 vote majority for the governing party. The vacancy arose from AE McPhillips's appointment to the bench. Liberal papers called it the start of the end for McBride, with Liberal leaders touring the riding to oppose the government.

Resignation of Indian Commission Chair Wetmore Passed
