Railway progress near Keremeos shows telegraph line up to Keremeos and ballast complete to the car area. Station building at Delmar receiving paint, fence work reaches Manery's schoolhouse, grading to Hedley anticipated to wrap up within a week or so for traffic readiness.
For weeks the gravity tram operation faced delays due to passenger overuse of signed passes. Central notifications required crews to slow for passengers and ore deliveries. After a broken shaft was repaired, speeds increased but passes remained restricted to curb abuse, despite occasional inconvenience.
The Vernon News reports an ordination council action banning hunting of prime game including chicken willow, bine grouse, and pheasants for three years. It covers ducks and wild geese as remaining targets and notes shotgun clubs agreed to restrictions and enforcement measures.

A Great Northern Railway delegation led by W. W. Broughton visited Hedley and the Similkameen to study local geography and resources ahead of traffic expansion. The party traveled by private car to Keremeos and Hedley, met with local officials, and surveyed irrigation works and district prospects for future scheduling and rates.
Residents on White and Tillis streets plan a south side sidewalk from White eastward to Bilis and along Telis. A wimshackle building at Lis and Irene blocks progress and the owner at Otter Flat is unavailable to grant access.
A large copper ore body was uncovered near Kingston in a tunnel opened on the Kingston group. Inspectors found ore on all faces with andesite intrusion, suggesting a promising new deposit requiring further development and careful disposal due to hillside work constraints.
An important five mile property near Five Mile Creek is under option to Henry Bahrs, amid negotiations with owners P M Gillespie and Uhler and Co. The Shamrock group includes Shantock Bornite Blue Ridge Gladstone Roseberry Proiuctus Balemmnite and Right of Way claims with copper ore. Development will be needed to assess value, and a cash payment is required before exercise of the option.
