Nicola Coal Shipper Plans Expanded Wheelhouse Output

Mr T J Smith of the Diamond Vale Iron and Coal Mines reports a major deal completed for the Nicola coal operation. A second shaft nears bedrock, machinery for two shafts is on site, and houses for workers are in place. The spur from the Nicola branch of the CPR is built to shaft head and the market on the coast remains strong with expected continued CPR intake.
