Reagan County oil well extends to new low depth
San Angelo Tex The Reagan County oil field was extended a quarter mile southeast by Texan No 1 Oil Corpora tions No 4 well in the center of section 1 block 8. Oil is standing 2000 feet in the hole after a shot recently. It was struck at 3127 feet at least 60 feet below any previous production. The bit went 20 feet deeper. Gas is not sufficient to force out the oil and Frank Pickrell Texan vice president and general manager estimated today the well will be good on the pump for 200 to 300 barrels. Striking oil at this new low level is considered as important as the recent bringing in of the big gasser by the Big Lake Oil Company at 2400 feet.
