Calvert Awards Contract For Water Storage Tank
The City of Calvert awarded a contract to Black Sevalis and Bryson of Dallas for a 300000 gallon surface steel water storage tank near the stand pipe. Bids were submitted by eight firms on February 25. work starts March 8 and is to finish by May 1. Counties Told to Secure Right-of-Way for State Highway 6
Officials of Robertson and Falls Counties were asked by the Texas Highway Commission to proceed with purchasing right of way for relocating a section of State Highway 6. The new route removes a dog leg through Bremond, running from 4.2 miles northwest to 4 miles southwest of Bremond, while retaining the present routes in the state system with Highway 14 and local farm-to-market roads. State share of right-of-way cost was authorized in the 1965 1066 consolidated highway program.
