Albert Wilkerson to Remove to San Antonio
Albert Wilkerson, longtime cashier at City National Bank of Bryan for sixteen years, accepted a cashier position at Alamo National Bank of San Antonio and will move around July 15. He helped grow Bryan bank deposits from 135000 to about 1000000 and chaired local efforts, including the Red Cross chapter, while remaining active in St. Andrew's vestry and the business community. His Bryan post will be filled by W. H. Cole, with further notice forthcoming. Born in Hearne in 1870, Wilkerson studied at Sewanee then led a 13-year run with City National in Austin before moving to Bryan and later to San Antonio. He is a partner in Wilkerson Brothers lumber firm in Hearne-Bryan.

W A Snell of Hearne died suddenly Monday night after heart pains while returning home with neighbor Walter Lumpkin. Buried Tuesday at six, Rev R K Marshall officiating. A longtime L&G N Ry employee, he left a daughter Mrs A R Weeks and two sons Jerry and William Snell. The Democrat extends sympathy.

First Baptist Church Names Rev C A Bullock Pastor
The First Baptist church called Rev. C. A. Bullock and he accepted on Sunday night June 23. He will be absent part of the time due to evangelistic engagements until about August 15, then join Hearne church full time. He will fill Sunday morning services and night services will be supplied as needed. Bullock is described as a consecrated Christian gentleman and faithful preacher, expected to lead growth and development at Hearne under his administration.
