Texas Oil Fields Gas Pipeline Project In Webb County
The Minsion Oil Company of Kansas City has contracted C W Killam of Laredo for Webb County gas and will lay a 12 inch pipeline about 73 miles to McMullen County to connect with Southern Natural Gas. Completion is set for December 1 at an estimated cost of $2,000,000. Killam and Cole Petroleum have just finished a well producing 50 million cubic feet, part of a field with over 400 million cubic feet already developed, one of the continent’s largest natural gas fields.

Mineral Lease Bids Fall Short in West Texas Auction
About 150 bids were received on 40 000 acres of university land across 11 West Texas counties. Bids averaged just over 10 cents per acre, with the top bid at 706 dollars for a single section in El Paso County by R A Montague of Fort Stockton. Land Commissioner J T Robinson said results were disappointing given expectations of up to 250 000 dollars prior to a university board of regents inquiry into the lending.

Wild Gasser From Refugio Controlled After Weeklong Run

New Gas Pipe Line Expands Marshall Texas Service

New Oil Well in Jim Hogg County Texas Surges Output
In Jim Hogg County near Laredo Texas the Killam No 3 well came in at 2050 feet flowing better than 600 barrels per day. It offset the Henne Winch and Faris No 2 well by 364 feet and three Killam wells Nos 5 6 and 7 are being drilled with derricks erected on three sides of the main producer. Rigging up is underway and drilling of the trio is expected to begin early next week.
