Dallas voters warned of new election laws including citizen voting requirement and restrictions on ballot assistance. Two judges must aid voters seeking help, swear to neutrality, and follow voter directives. Violations carry fines up to five hundred dollars or confinement.
Dallas Texas July 22 Attorney General Looney issues answers to questions about women voting in the July 27 primary and a possible August 31 second primary. Polls run 9 am to 8 pm clocks set to sun time. City voters 20,000 or more must be registered. those outside cities of 10,000 may vote without registration. Women may serve as election judges and clerks. Applicants must be 21 before July 27 1918 to vote then.
Democrats in Precinct No 2 are called to a meeting in Hearne at 2 p m July 27 in the Easterwood building justice court room to elect delegates to the county convention choose a permanent precinct chairman for a two year term and handle related business.
