Hearne Building and Loan Association will close Friday and open Monday in a new building between Magnolia and Market Streets just north of Brown Street Overpass. Construction began in 1975 by K. B. Butler Company. Open house planned in March to celebrate the new facilities.

Ray Amos has been named a Distinguished Student for the fall semester at A&M University by John E. Pearson dean of business administration.
