The Wo mans Missionary Society met at Mrs T P Griffin s home with Mrs R C Carson and Mrs J B Looney as hostesses One of the most largely attended sessions featured Christmas decor holly poinsettias and a Christmas tree Roll call quoted Christmas and New Year verses The group praised fundraising efforts and reported a 1000 pledge paid in full with 31 surplus A sermon from St Luke 10 10 13 followed the program highlighting the Belle Bennett College cornerstone Rio de Janeiro and Scarritt College opening Notes on industrial conditions and sisterhood of toil were shared The afternoon ended with creamed turkey with cranberry jelly crackers olives and coffee Christmas tree favors added a festive touch
