A bazooka shell given as a war souvenir by a soldier on leave exploded in the Bronx apartment of Mr and Mrs Jock Lennon injuring six children seriously and critically. Boy Confesses to Beating Girl to Death with Pipe

Truck Overturns On Peaches Blanket Road Injures Driver
A tractor truck and 104 ton semi trailer driven by Sherman Ballentine age 26 of Chowehill overturned on Peaches Blanket Road near Valley Blvd and Contor Ct last night. Ballentine said the rig jackknifed while taking a sharp right turn while following another truck to an unavailable service station.
