Welfare home being changed in Alameda county
The Niles receiving home for children run by the Welfare Board of Southern Alameda county has been dismantled. Children are now under Mrs Anna King, former house mother, in Hayward. The board plans a less costly home and fundraise to place children in foster homes. The four townships served are Murray Pleasanton Eden and Washington. Bomb Planted at Alhambra Theatre Sparks City Investigation
San Francisco police found a dynamite filled bomb in the Alhambra theatre on Green Street. The device contained at least 16 sticks of dynamite with a four foot fuse hidden behind the box office. Three year old Jackie Sullivan missing since Thursday in a mountain lion infested area was located alive in a canyon about seven miles from his father’s car.
