Mrs. Marietta Wilson Holman county home demonstration agent traveled to Davis on Thursday for the annual state Four-H clubs camp. She was joined by Sunset Four-H members Anna Sanford, Gertrude Sanford, Vivi Evers, and Pauline Foster. They expect to return Saturday as several hundred 4 H champions from counties across the state attend lectures and demonstrations of club work and farm projects. Pleading guilty to possession of liquor, William A. Hutchins faced Judge Jacob Harder in Alameda County justice court. He received an offer of a 3500 fine or 60 days in jail, with a Monday deadline to raise funds. two additional liquor violations against him may be resolved then. Hutchins and Charles Sylvia were arrested weeks ago by district attorney operatives and Chief Louis Silva. Sylvia pleaded guilty to liquor possession and sale, and was fined 500. Jack Johnson, ill recently at his aunt’s home, shows improvement and is expected to be out soon.
