Valley thefts yield Bickford jewelry buried near home
Jewelry valued around 150 dollars belonging to Mrs. Bickford was recovered by Constable A J La Cunha from a burial place near the W M Bickford residence after a burglar entered four Castro Valley homes early Sunday. A diamond ring remains missing. about 500 dollars in valuables were taken from three other houses as the thief evaded discovery by residents sleeping. The constable continues to pursue clues and searches nearby sites.
