SAN QUENTIN PRISON March 14 A Untitle Press Special to The Review Alphonse Reilly 22 died today on the gallows for the murder of Abraham Sandalman Los Angeles shoe seller two years ago. Reilly was pronounced dead 14 minutes after the trap sprang. About 50 persons officers and newspaper men witnessed the execution. The case sparked a week of controversy as agencies sought a reprieve from Governor Young and a physician hearing declared Reilly sane.

Accident Verdict in Montero Death
A coroner's jury ruled the death of Jackson Montero age 50 of San Leandro an accident from an automobile crash in Eden Canyon on March 6. The inquest found no evidence of another driver causing the wreck. Montero, his son Frank 20, and Charles Vane of San Leandro were in a car that rolled 200 feet after being forced off the road to let another vehicle pass. the other driver reportedly left without stopping.
