Pleasant State Sunday School Trip to Camp Calvin
Our representatives at the State Sunday School Convention in San Jose returned to Hayward last Saturday evening and praised the trip as one of the pleasantest. From Wednesday morning the 34 travelers, guided by Mr Bucks eight black horses, journeyed to San Jose where they camped at Camp Calvin beside the Methodist Church. The days were filled with convention sessions, walks, drives, and campfire programs, with music from Tent Hubbub and performances by Tom Thumb. The crowd celebrated Mr Buck’s kindness with résolutions, then broke camp Saturday morning, carrying memories of fellowship and joy from Camp Calvin.
