Man Gets 60 Days For Petty Theft
Eddie La Croix nabbed Tuesday night by Hayward police appeared in Hayward Justice court. He was sentenced to 60 days in county jail on petty theft charges. He asked to leave Alameda county and suspend the sentence, but the request was denied. He claimed prior time served for statutory rape and drunk charges. He was charged with stealing belongings of Maxine Phipps and said he kept them for her, returning radio and alarm clocks to Hayward.

Soldier Is Killed In Camp Accident
