Madsens Injured in Rainy Watsonville Auto Crash
In Watsonville Sunday about 1 30 p m a car owned by M S Madsen of B Street struck by a speeding vehicle driven by Herbert Rappe. Madsen, his wife and two daughters Joanne and Margery were hurt along with five others in the other car. Madsen suffered a back injury. Joanne had facial and head wounds needing stitches. others sustained bruises as bystanders described glass shattering and nosebleeds from the other vehicle. The crash occurred at A Street and Telegraph Road amid slick pavement and a deep roadside ditch presenting further danger.
