Hayward Woman Dies By Own Hand In Gunshot Tragedy
Mrs. Jane Wyckoff, 48, was reported in good condition after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the right lung. Police say she used a 410 shotgun in her Hayward kitchen during a domestic dispute. She drove to a neighbor's home for aid, then was taken to the hospital. Earlier, Mrs Noel Sommers, 21, was treated at Fairmont hospital after swallowing iodine following a marital argument. her condition was listed as satisfactory.
