Mexican railroad worker Santiago Saza was held by San Jose police for Mexican authorities after Salvador Guitterz, a 25 year old harvest worker, claimed Saza killed his father Jose Guitterz in Mexico. Guitterz said the elder ran a Manila grocery and that Saza and a truck driver stole alcohol during a delivery. The father was found shot after an argument. the truck driver served a sentence, and Saza disappeared.

Four Boys Bitten as Rabies Suspected Dogs Searched
Berkeley city health department observed four bite victims three boys aged three nine and twelve and an eighty year old woman all bitten by dogs suspected of carrying rabies. Irvington Man Charged With Drunken Driving
Solero Lapena aged 36 of Irvington is held on drunken driving charges after last night’s arrest on the Centerville Alvarado road. He forced a sheriff’s patrol car to the roadside thrice and drove over the center line at 65 mph while pursued for a mile before being stopped. Staff Sgt. Eugene C. Johns of Hayward has been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for outstanding achievement in aerial combat while serving with an Eighth Air Force bomber station in England. Johns, a 20 year old B-17 engineer and top turret gunner, has flown nearly 30,000 miles in major bombing operations over Nazi Europe and holds an Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters. his unit, part of the Third Bombardment Division, has earned a Presidential citation for Schweinfurt and is linked to the England to Africa shuttle attack on Regensburg.

Francisco Lopez a 47 year old Readley truck driver was burned to death yesterday afternoon when his truck collided with another two miles north of Lemoore California His 10 year old son Augustin suffered second degree burns over about 40 percent of his body in the same crash and was hospitalized for treatment.

Man Collapses On Castro Street In Hospital
