Three Year Old Vera Slye Dies After Illness
Vera Jean Slye three years old daughter of Mr and Mrs Preston A Slye of 637 Jackson street died Thursday morning after a brief illness. She was playing Wednesday morning and appeared well until noon when she grew ill and suffered convulsions. Funeral arrangements were not fixed. Her father works as a linotype operator at The Review office.

Wreck Victim To Planada Home
John L. Dias, victim of an auto streetcar crash in Hayward, is greatly improved at Hayward General Hospital and will return home to the Scandart ranch in Planada near Merced today. He suffered a large scalp wound and other injuries after colliding with a Rex Route car on Castro Street at 12:50 Wednesday noon. Dr. R. M. Manson treated him with six stitches and minor injuries.
