Hayward War Veteran slain in San Diego
Hayward war veteran John Dolin died after a shooting in San Diego Tuesday night. He served with American forces in France during World War I and was the son of Mantel and Mrs Dolin of 927 Watkins street. He had lived in Hayward about 14 years and is survived by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Haynes Hart Involved in Hospital Bus Crash
Ea Haynes of Kayward Cleaners and Dyers on Castro Street was badly cut and bruised when their car collided with a hospital bus at the county hospital entrance. Mr Haynes suffered a head wound and was thrown from the car, later stitched. Mrs Haynes had a severe forehead cut. a female bus passenger was cut. The car was demolished. Mrs Haynes returned to work next day. Mr Haynes remained bed bound with bruises.
